WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Town of West New York feel that it would be in the best interest of the public welfare to have available a qualified individual who would be able to perform simple homemaking services to individuals within the Town of West New York, based upon need, on a part-time basis; and
WHEREAS, such an individual would receive state training and receive a state certification from the New Jersey Department of Health;
Now therefore, be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of the Town of West New York, County of Hudson, State of New Jersey, as follows:
There shall be created, and there is hereby created within the Department of Public Affairs, the position of Visiting Home Health Aide Homemaker.
Any applicant for said position shall successfully complete the necessary training offered by the New Jersey Department of Health and receive certification from the New Jersey Department of Health for said position.
The power to appoint the Visiting Home Health Aide Homemaker is hereby vested in the Director of the Department of Public Affairs. The Director of the Department of Public Affairs shall establish the necessary criteria for individuals to receive the services of the Visiting Home Health Aide.
Salary is hereby established at a minimum of $2,500 a year and a maximum of $5,500 a year.
