All such agreements for special duty assignments shall be contracted
for in writing by the completion of a form available from the Chief
of Police. The contracts shall be kept on record as other such public
documents.
All payments for special duty assignments shall be deposited
into the "Trust Other" fund. Thereafter payments shall be made out
of the payroll account to the individual police officers performing
such service. All payments shall be made to the police officers subject
to required deductions, administrative, insurance and patrol car fees
to be retained by the municipality. The charges for such service shall
be set forth annually in a resolution adopted by the governing body.
All funds in excess of the amount due the Borough will be returned
to the depositor within 30 days of written request to refund same.
Any dispute between the contractor and the police officer on assignment
as to services rendered or compensation due shall be determined by
the Police Chief. His/her decision shall be final and binding.
Any assignment which is cancelled on less than four hours' notice
shall be charged against the Contractor.
