An Advisory Beautification Committee for the
City is hereby established. The committee shall be composed of nine
members and two alternate members, to be appointed by the Municipal
Council, one permanent member to be selected from the membership of
the Environmental Protective Commission, and one permanent member
to be selected from the membership of the Clifton Garden Club.

All members of the Committee shall be appointed
for three-year terms, effective from the date of appointment.
If any vacancy shall occur on the Committee,
the Council shall appoint a person to fill the vacancy for the unexpired
term.
The Committee shall:
A.
Seek out, initiate and encourage civic beautification
projects.
B.
Obtain and disseminate on a City-wide basis information
pertaining to civic beautification.
C.
Generally, institute, foster and support such programs,
undertakings and projects as shall cause, within the citizens of the
City of Clifton, a sense of pride in the aesthetic aspects of their
community.
D.
Be authorized to raise funds to offset its operational
costs. All expenditures shall first be approved by the Municipal Council
and all moneys so raised turned over to the City Finance Department.
