There is hereby established a Municipal Court to be known as the "Municipal
Court of Clifton." The Judge of the Municipal Court shall be known as the
"Judge of the Municipal Court."
The Municipal Court shall have a seal which shall bear the impress "Municipal
Court of Clifton."

The Judge of the Municipal Court shall be appointed by the Council.
He shall have the qualifications required by law.

The Judge of the Municipal Court shall serve for a period of three years
from the date of his appointment and until his successor is appointed and
qualified, or for such period as is otherwise provided by law.

The Judge of the Municipal Court shall be compensated by an annual salary
to be fixed by ordinance. The compensation so paid to the Judge of the Municipal
Court shall be in lieu of any and all other fees.

The Municipal Court and the Judge of the Municipal Court shall have,
possess and exercise all the functions, powers, duties, authority and jurisdiction
conferred by the provisions of Chapter 264 of the Laws of 1948, and the amendments
thereof and supplements thereto, or as provided by any other law.

A. The office and employment of Municipal Court Director
be and the same is hereby created and established.
B. The Municipal Court Director of the City of Clifton shall
be appointed by the City Manager in the unclassified service and shall be
subject to the supervision and control of the City Manager.
