Hereafter no curb trap vents capable of admitting stormwater into the sanitary sewer system shall be constructed, and all such existing curb trap vents shall be removed or permanently sealed.
A. 
Hereafter no cellar sump pumps will be permitted to discharge water into the sanitary sewer system, and any existing sump pumps must be disconnected or altered in such fashion as to prevent such discharge.
B. 
Discharge of water into Borough storm sewer system prohibited.
(1) 
It shall be unlawful for the owner or occupant of any improved property within the Borough to permit the perpetual discharge of water by virtue of sump pump, gravity drain or any such conduit to flow into the public street, right-of-way or other property, or the Borough storm sewer system.
(2) 
All discharge water from a crawl space, basement or other like area in excess of eight hours within a thirty-day period shall be discharged directly into a percolation pit constructed on the same property. A percolation pit shall be not less than four feet by four feet by four feet in dimension and shall be completely lined bottom, sides and tops with filter fabric and filled with one-inch crushed stone and such percolation pit shall be graded to prevent overflow into the public right-of-way or adjacent property.
Hereafter no outdoor showers for beach bathers with the drains in an open paved area connected to the sanitary sewer system will be permitted, and any existing outdoor showers so constructed must be altered or modified so as to prevent the entrance of stormwater into the sanitary sewer system from such sources.
Upon receipt by the Council of the Borough of Beach Haven of notification from the Beach Haven Sewerage Utility that corrective action by a property owner is required in order to produce compliance with one or more provisions of this chapter, the Council shall order such property owner to make the necessary correction or corrections. The Council shall direct the Borough Clerk to give notice of the order to the property owner or owners concerned.
Said notice shall be addressed to the owner of said property as the name of said owner appears in the last tax duplicate of the Borough, shall describe the property by lot and block designation as the same appears on the Tax Map of the Borough and by the street address and shall state that by order of the Council of the Borough of Beach Haven the owner is required to take the action called for by the Beach Haven Sewerage Utility in its notice to said Board, and said notice shall inform the owner of the penalty which may be imposed for failure to comply with said notice and order in accordance with the terms of this article.
Said notice may be served on the owner personally or by leaving it at his usual place of abode with a member of his family above the age of 18 years if the owner has a place of abode within the Borough of Beach Haven. Said notice may also be served within or without the limits of the Borough by mailing the same by regular mail to the last known post office address of said owner as the same appears on the last tax duplicate of the Borough.
