The following fees are hereby established for
certain services rendered and material distributed by the Police Department
of the Borough of Ridgefield:
A. For search of files for information not contained
in police blotter: $5.
B. Accident reports.
(1) For photostats of accident reports and other public
records requested in person: the sum of $0.50 per page or part thereof
up to the 10th page; the sum of $0.25 per page or part thereof from
the 11th to the 20th page; the sum of $0.10 per page or part thereof
for all pages after 20.
(2) If copies of accident reports are requested other
than in person, an additional fee of $5 for the first three pages
and $1 per page thereafter shall be added to the above fees to cover
the administrative costs of said report.
C. For fingerprints (set of three or fewer): $5.
D. For photographs (eight by 10 prints), per print: $5.
All fees shall be paid to the Police Department
at the time, or before, the services are rendered or the materials
are delivered.
Monthly reports of receipts from said fees shall
be rendered to the governing body of the municipality and said receipts
paid to the Borough Treasurer.
Said fees shall not be exacted from Police Departments
or agencies, municipal, county, state or federal governments or nonprofit
organizations. No fee shall be charged for the single fingerprint
card required by the federal government from a person applying for
naturalization.
