This article shall apply to all employees of the Town of Lincoln unless otherwise indicated herein or in the bargaining agreements between the union and the Town of Lincoln.

A. 
Overtime shall be defined as all work, excluding sick leave, over eight hours in any one day, or over 40 hours in any one week, or as outlined in the bargaining agreements between the unions and the Town of Lincoln.
B. 
Employees who work over eight hours in any one day shall be paid at the rate of 1 1/2 times their hourly rate.
C. 
This section shall apply to employees whose wages are determined on an hourly basis.

A. 
All nonunion employees who have one year of continuous service shall receive a vacation of two weeks with pay in an amount equal to his/her regular weekly salary excluding overtime payments.
B. 
All nonunion employees with five years of service shall receive three weeks' vacation with pay in an amount equal to his/her regular weekly salary excluding overtime payments.
C. 
All nonunion employees with 10 years of service shall receive four weeks' vacation with pay in an amount equal to his/her regular weekly salary excluding overtime payments.
D. 
All nonunion employees with 15 years of service shall receive five weeks' vacation with pay in an amount equal to his/her regular weekly salary excluding overtime payments.
E. 
All nonunion employees with 25 years of service shall receive six weeks' vacation with pay in an amount equal to his/her regular weekly salary excluding overtime payments.
F. 
All union employees' vacations shall be governed by their respective bargaining agreements.
G. 
Vacation period shall begin as of July 1 and end as of June 30 of each fiscal year, unless otherwise specified.

H. 
All nonunion employees who retire or resign their position with the Town shall receive payment for all unused, earned vacation time which may have accrued during the year in which the retirement or resignation occurred.

A. 
Sick leave shall be defined as the absence from duty of any employee due to personal illness, bodily injury, exposure to contagious diseases or other instances as outlined in certain bargaining agreements.
B. 
To be eligible for sick leave, an employee must have a minimum of six months' continuous service and must notify his/her Personnel Director or department head at least one hour prior to the time for reporting to work.
C. 
In the event that an employee's sick leave extends beyond three days' duration, he/she must furnish his/her Personnel Director or department head with a doctor's certificate which states the cause and estimated duration of the illness.
D. 
Sick leaves of one, two or three days' duration for reasons unsubstantiated by a doctor's certificate may be granted or denied by the Personnel Director. Notification of the granting of all such leaves must be made by the department head to the Town Administrator within one week subsequent to the granting of an unsubstantiated sick leave.
E. 
Employees shall be credited with sick leave in the amount of 1 1/2 days for each month worked, but in no case may sick leave be accumulated in excess of 125 days, or as prescribed in the approved bargaining agreement.
F. 
Municipal employees shall receive a cash reimbursement for all unused sick leave upon retirement (as defined in the Municipal Pension Plans); provided, however, that the reimbursement shall not exceed the value of 105 days of sick leave. In the case of death, accumulated sick leave, not to exceed 105 days, shall be paid to the estate of the employee. Public works employees shall receive a cash reimbursement for all unused sick leave upon retirement; provided, however, that the reimbursement shall not exceed the value of 105 days of sick leave.

G. 
All nonunion employees shall be granted two personal days to be deducted from accumulated sick leave. Personal days shall be used within the fiscal year and are not cumulative.

A. 
Employees may receive funeral leave without loss of pay due to the death of a member of the immediate family, i.e., mother, father, husband, wife, child, brother, sister, grandparents and mother- or father-in-law. Bereavement leave taken pursuant to this section shall be from the time of notification of death up to and including the day of burial.
B. 
In the event there is a death in the employee's family, but not in the immediate family as defined above, the employee shall be granted one day to attend the funeral service.

Employees who have been called to serve jury duty shall be paid the difference between his regular weekly salary, excluding overtime, and his compensation for jury duty.

B. 
All employees must be on the job and available for work his/her last full scheduled workday before, and his/her first scheduled workday after the holiday except in the cases of an authorized day(s) of absence.

A longevity benefit shall be paid in addition to base salaries to all members in good standing of the FOP Lodge No. 22, pursuant to their collective bargaining agreement effective July 1, 1992.

For the purposes of computing longevity benefits for employees the initial date of full-time employment shall be the determining date for longevity benefits.
C. 
A longevity benefit shall be paid in addition to base salary to all nonelected municipal employees, other than elected officials, who work 32.5 hours or more per week or who are covered by Local 1033 (Municipal) collective bargaining agreement effective July 1, 1992.

D.
