A Civil Service Commission Board is hereby created consisting
of three residents of Hanover Borough who shall serve six-year terms
as authorized by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Hanover
Borough Council shall appoint Board members from time to time as openings
occur on the Board due to term completion, death and illness.
The Commission shall organize itself on the first Monday of
February of each even-numbered year.
The Commission shall promulgate rules and regulations for conducting
examinations and developing eligibility lists for employment which
must then be reviewed and approved by Hanover Borough Council.
The Commission shall conduct any investigations or inquiries
which it deems to be appropriate to conduct pursuant to the authority
granted to it by statute.
The Commission shall publish notices of its decisions as required
by law.
