As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PUBLIC DANCE HALL
Includes any room, place or space in which there shall be held any dance or ball conducted in connection with instruction in dancing for hire, and any dance or ball to which admission may be had by the payment of a fee or by the purchase, possession or presentation of a ticket or token, or in connection with which a charge is made for caring for clothing or other property, and any dance or ball to which the public generally may gain admission with or without the payment of a fee.
No public dance hall shall be opened, operated or conducted or be made available to use of patrons until the owner or operator thereof shall have obtained from the Borough Secretary a license therefor. The license fee for the remainder of the year 1932 shall be $5, and annually thereafter shall be $15, which fee for the remainder of the year 1932 shall be paid on October 15, and for each calendar year after 1932 shall be paid January 1, in each year.
It shall be unlawful for any public dance hall to remain open after 11:50 p.m.
A. 
All public dance halls shall be subject to inspection by the Police Department of the Borough at all reasonable times and whenever they are open for dancing, instruction in dancing or for any other purpose.
B. 
Any police officer shall have the power to cause the place, hall or room where any public dance is given to be vacated whenever any provision of any law or ordinance with regard to public dances is being violated, or whenever any indecent act shall be committed, or when any disorder of a gross, violent or vulgar character shall take place therein.
The license of any public dance hall may be forfeited or revoked by the Mayor for disorderly or immoral conduct on the premises, or upon proof that the dance hall was frequented by disorderly persons, or for the violation of any of the rules, regulations, ordinances and laws, governing or applying to public dance halls.
