Any motor vehicle found parked upon the public streets of the Borough of Haddonfield in violation of any municipal ordinance or statute of the State of New Jersey may be removed by the Borough of Haddonfield at the expense of the owner thereof and shall be held impounded by the Borough of Haddonfield or at its direction until such expense has been paid by such owner.
From and after the effective date of this chapter it shall be unlawful for the owner of a motor vehicle to allow the same to stand in a public street of the Borough of Haddonfield when such street has become covered with snow to a depth of three inches. Any motor vehicle allowed to stand in a public street in violation of this chapter may be removed by the Borough of Haddonfield in the manner and under the conditions set forth in § 228-1 hereof.
Violations of this chapter shall be punishable, upon conviction, by one or more of the following in the discretion of the court: a fine of not to exceed $1,250; imprisonment for a period of not to exceed 90 days; a period of community service of not to exceed 90 days.
