As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION
A transfer of money or other thing of value, made to, or on behalf of, a candidate or a candidate committee or joint candidate committee established therefor, including loans, gifts, subscriptions, real property and personal property, and may either be in the form of currency, check, or other negotiable instrument, or a nonmonetary in-kind contribution of goods or services but shall exclude personal services provided on an unpaid, voluntary basis or the use of a candidate's personal funds to his or her own campaign.
CANDIDATE
An individual seeking election to either the office of Mayor or Councilperson of the Borough of Maywood.
CANDIDATE COMMITTEE
A committee designated by a single candidate as his or her campaign committee.
JOINT CANDIDATE COMMITTEE
A committee made up of two or more candidates running in the same election in the same municipality.
All notices to bidders, specifications for public contracts, requests for proposals and any public contract entered into by the Borough of Maywood shall contain a requirement that any contractor submitting a bid or any person or other business entity to whom a public contract is to be awarded, shall submit a signed statement setting forth:
A. 
The name, address and telephone number of the vendor;
B. 
If the vendor is a corporation or a partnership, the names and addresses of all stockholders in a corporation or partners of a partnership who own 10% or more of its stock of any class or of all individual partners in the partnership who own a 10% or greater interest therein, as the case may be. If one or more such stockholder or partner is itself a corporation or partnership, the stockholders holding 10% or more of that corporation stock, or the individual partners holding 10% or greater interest in that partnership, as the case may be, shall also be listed. The disclosure shall be continued until the names and addresses of every noncorporate stockholder or individual partner, exceeding the 10% ownership criteria, has been listed.
C. 
Contributions made, directly or indirectly, by all vendors, corporations, partnerships, shareholders and individuals listed in Subsections A and B above during the prior and current calendar year to each candidate, campaign committee or joint campaign committee therefor in excess of $400 for any candidate for each election setting forth the candidate's name, the office or position for which such candidate was running, or party committee or continuing political committee, the contributions in the aggregate made during the previous calendar year for each election and the contributions in the aggregate made in the current calendar year for each election.
No contract shall be awarded or entered into by the Borough of Maywood without the submission of the disclosure statement required in § 7-2 above.
