It shall be unlawful for any person, persons, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, to drive or cause to be driven any vehicle on, over and across any curb or sidewalk in the City of Greensburg before first obtaining permission of the abutting property owner and the placing of a proper platform or covering for the protection of said sidewalk and curb.
Any depression, break or damage caused to said curbs or sidewalk by any vehicle or by any other agency shall be reported to the Engineer's office of the City of Greensburg within twenty-four (24) hours after said damage has occurred, and emergency repairs must be made by said property owner, tenant or agent within forty-eight (48) hours.

Before any private driveway can be placed over any curb or sidewalk by property owners, agents or tenants, plans must first be submitted to and approved by the Municipal/Consulting Engineer. Said plans shall show the location of said driveway, the plans for grading the curb and the thickness and dimensions of said sidewalk space over which it is intended the vehicles shall cross.

Any person or persons, firms or corporations violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than six hundred dollars ($600.) or be imprisoned for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment.
