A. 
The following fee schedule is hereby established for applications filed in zoning and planning matters before the Wanaque Planning Board, Wanaque Board of Adjustment or Wanaque governing body:

(1) 
Subdivision.
(a) 
Classification of subdivision: $250.
(b) 
Minor subdivision up to three lots: $750.
(c) 
Amended preliminary major subdivision:

Each additional lot: $50.

Major subdivision:

Any plan for building improvement and/or lot area disturbance up to and including 1,000 square feet: $500.

For each additional 1,000 square feet of new floor area: $100.

For each additional 1,000 square feet of lot area disturbed or part thereof: $50.

(3) 
Variances.
(a) 
“C” variance, single-family use: $250.
(b) 
“D” variance: $1,000.

All other variances and waivers: $400.

Interpretation of Zoning Ordinance/special question: $500.
(6) 
Extension of approval: 50% of new application fee.

B. 
All checks shall be made payable to "The Borough of Wanaque" and filed with the application.
C. 
In addition to the appropriate application fee, the applicant will be requested to post and deposit moneys in an escrow account to reimburse the Borough for the Board's actual professional fees incurred, and if need be, during the course of the procedure, the applicant may be required to make additional deposits to cover professional fees rendered for the proper review of the application. Any unused portion of the escrow is refundable to the applicant.
D. 
No final approvals shall be given or provided to the applicant until all professional review fees or required escrows shall have been paid. In the event that any applicant shall contest or dispute the fee, he shall pay the same, reserving his right to so dispute or contest, and shall then appeal such decision and payment to the particular Board for a determination. If the applicant is further aggrieved by said decision, an appeal shall be filed with the governing body of the Borough of Wanaque within 10 days of the decision of the particular Board. The governing body shall hear and consider the matter and make an appropriate determination as to the reasonableness of said fees. The decision of the particular Board if no appeal is taken, or the decision of the governing body, shall be final.
