Any owner of property along the line of any
sewer, who erects a house or other building thereon, shall connect
said house or other building onto the sewer within 30 days after notice,
in writing, to make such connection from the Board of Health; said
notice to be served by delivering the same to the owner of said property
personally or by leaving it at his usual place of abode with a member
of his family above the age of 18 years. Any person who shall not
comply with any such notice to make the required connection shall,
upon conviction thereof, pay a fine of $25. An additional fine of
$10 shall be imposed for each day of delay after the expiration of
the 30 days in which the provisions of said notice are not complied
with.
