Records Retention and Disposition Schedule MU-1, issued pursuant to Article 57-A of the Arts and Cultural Affairs Law, and containing legal minimum retention periods for municipal government records, is hereby adopted for use by all municipal officers in disposing of municipal government records listed therein.
In accordance with Article 57-A:
A. 
Only those records will be disposed of that are described in Records Retention and Disposition Schedule MU-1 after they have met the minimum retention period prescribed therein.
B. 
Only those records will be disposed of that do not have sufficient administrative, fiscal, legal or historical value to merit retention beyond established time periods.

Pursuant to Article 6 of the Public Officers Law, the regulations and procedures for public access to the Village of Honeoye Falls records are as follows.
A written request reasonably describing the record(s) or document(s) and the number desired shall be submitted to the Village Clerk.
The Village Clerk, within five (5) days after receiving the request, shall make the record(s) available, deny the request or advise when the record(s) will be available.
If the request is denied, the person may appeal the denial to the Board of Trustees within thirty (30) days from the date of the denial.
The fees for copies of records which do not exceed nine by fourteen (9 x 14) inches will be twenty-five cents ($0.25) per copy; the fees for copies of records larger than nine by fourteen (9 x 14) inches shall be the cost to the village in having the record(s) copied.
All requests for record(s) and obtaining of record(s) shall be through the Village Clerk or the Deputy Village Clerk.
Requests for and obtaining of records shall be done at the Village Hall, 5 East Street, Honeoye Falls, New York during normal business hours, which are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, inclusively.
All of the sections of the Freedom of Information Law, Article 6 of the Public Officers Law, shall be applicable to determine what records shall be accessible to the public.
The Village Clerk may adopt other procedures in conformity with this Article for access to public records.
