The ordinances of the Town may be amended, repealed or revised from time to time by a majority vote of the Town Council. A change in the Zoning Ordinance shall require a two-thirds vote (MGL c. 40A, § 5). All proposed ordinances shall be posted on the Town Bulletin Board in accordance with Charter Section 2-9(c).
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BYLAWS/ORDINANCES
The word "ordinance" shall be synonymous with the word "bylaw" when applied to the Town of Greenfield.
MAJORITY VOTE
A majority of those present and voting, provided a quorum of the body is present.
TWO-THIRDS VOTE
Two-thirds of the number present and voting, provided a quorum of the body is present.
