The purpose of this chapter is to establish
a food establishment license.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
FOOD ESTABLISHMENT
An establishment that provides food in a building or structure
or supplies food from a building or structure. It shall also include
any mobile food providers, including but not limited to mobile ice
cream vendors.
A. The fee
for the issuance of a food establishment license shall be $30 per
year.
B. The license
must be renewed by the first day of each calendar year.
A. Each retail
food establishment shall have a current Ocean County Board of Health
approval.
B. If well
water is used in the food establishment, a current water well certificate
is necessary.
The penalty for failing to obtain a food establishment license
by January 31 of each calendar year shall subject the owner of the
food establishment or mobile food vendor to a fine not to exceed $500.
