[HISTORY: Adopted City of Norwalk Common Council 10-13-1965. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to the authority granted to said Common Council of Norwalk. Connecticut by Connecticut General Statutes Sections 7-148 and 9-174, as well as Norwalk City Charter Section 185, the hours during which the polls of the City of Norwalk shall be open for elections at all regular and special municipal elections shall be extended so that the polls shall remain open for voting from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
This chapter shall be effective immediately upon compliance with the requirements of the Norwalk City Charter Section 193.[1]

The polls shall be open 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. whenever the City of Norwalk conducts a referendum on a day other than a state or local election.
