The Borough Council of the Borough of Souderton shall appoint
annually by resolution before the commencement of any fiscal year
an Auditor, who shall be a certified public accountant, a firm of
certified public accountants or a firm of competent independent public
accountants, to audit the accounts and other evidences of financial
transactions of the Borough and the Borough officers for the fiscal
year then closing and to submit such audit report to the Council.
The office of elected Borough Auditor is hereby abolished.
The Auditors now in office shall continue to hold their office
during the term to which elected, but shall not audit, settle or adjust
the accounts of the Borough.
