[1971 Code § BH8-1]
A code declaring ragweed and poison ivy to be a nuisance, providing
for removal or abatement thereof and recovery of expenses incurred
by the Board of Health in removing or abating such nuisance and prescribing
penalties for violations, is hereby established pursuant to Chapter
188, Laws of 1950. A copy of the code is annexed hereto and made a
part hereof without the inclusion of the text thereof herein.

The code established and adopted by this chapter is described
and commonly known as the Weed Control Code of New Jersey (1953).

Three copies of the Weed Control Code of New Jersey (1953) have
been placed on file in the offices of the Secretary of the Board of
Health and the Township Clerk and will remain on file in those offices
for the use and examination of the public.
[1971 Code § BH8-4]
The code is amended in Section 4.1 to read as follows:
"4.1 The provision of this code shall be enforced by members
of the Police Department of the Township of Lakewood, the Building
Inspector or Official of said Township, the Plumbing Inspector of
the Township, the Health Officer, the Secretary of the Board of Health
and any other official authorized by the Board of Health to enforce
this code and chapter."
