There is hereby adopted, pursuant to N.J.S. 26:3-69.1 et seq.,
that certain Public Health and Sanitary Code of New Jersey, known
as Swimming Pool Code of New Jersey, 1970 revision.
A copy of the code is annexed hereto and made a part hereof
without inclusion of text thereof herein.

Three copies of the Swimming Pool Code of New Jersey, 1970 have
been placed on file in the office of the Secretary of the Board of
Health of the Township of Lakewood and will remain on file in the
office for the use and examination of the public.

No person shall locate, construct, alter or operate a public
swimming pool until permits therefor shall have been issued by the
Board of Health pursuant to provisions of this chapter.
Permits issued for the operation of a swimming pool pursuant
to this chapter shall expire annually on June 30 of each year and
application for renewal thereof shall be submitted together with the
required fee prior to June 15 of each year.
Permits required by this chapter may be denied or suspended
by the Board of Health for failure to comply with the provisions of
this chapter or any other Code provisions. The Board of Health shall
afford the person whose permit to locate and construct, alter or operate
has been denied or suspended an opportunity to be heard in public
hearing, and following the hearing, to be informed of the Board's
decision as otherwise provided in the Swimming Pool Code.

The following fees and charges shall be established:
a. For issuance of a permit to locate and construct a public swimming
pool, $50.
b. For the issuance of a permit to alter a public swimming pool, $25.
c. For the issuance of renewal of a permit to operate a public swimming
pool, $10.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter or the Swimming Pool Code adopted hereby shall, upon conviction thereof, be liable to the penalty stated in Chapter
BH1, Section
BH1-2.
