[1985 Code § 5-1.1]
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq., there
is hereby established, within the Borough, a Municipal Court to be
known as the "Municipal Court of the Borough of Ringwood."

The Municipal Court shall have a seal, which shall bear the
impress of the name of the Court.

There shall be a Judge of the Municipal Court who shall be appointed
by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Borough Council.
The Judge shall serve for a term of three years from the date of his
appointment and until his successor is appointed and qualified.

The Judge of the Municipal Court shall be compensated by an
annual salary as fixed by ordinance. The compensation so paid shall
be in lieu of any and all other fees.

The Municipal Court Judge, before entering upon the duties of
his office, shall take, subscribe and file the Oath of Office required
by law and rules of court.

The Municipal Court and the Municipal Court Judge shall have,
possess and exercise all the jurisdiction, powers, functions and duties
which are conferred by law and the applicable rules of the Supreme
Court of New Jersey.
