As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
SUMP PUMP
For the purposes of this article, a sump pump is defined
as any device or method which discharges drainage resulting from rainwater,
springs, wells, or other groundwater.
No sump pump, as defined in §
317-22, shall discharge drainage resulting from rainwater, springs, wells, or other groundwater into the sanitary sewer system, nor shall any sump pump be permitted to discharge so as to create a hazardous condition to the public.
