As of October 1, 1971, pursuant to Public Act No. 685 of the 1971 General Assembly,[1] the Registrars of Voters of the Town of Guilford and their successors in office be and are hereby authorized and directed to discontinue the maintenance of separate enrollment lists of all qualified electors within the Town of Guilford according to the declared political preference of such electors, and said Registrars and their successors in office be and are hereby directed and required to designate the party affiliation, if any, of each elector in the Town of Guilford on the registry list with the name of such elector.
