There shall be zoning districts as follows:
Residence Open Space District (R-O-S)
Planned Waterfront Residential Community (PWRC)
Residence AAA District (R-AAA)
Residence AA District (R-AA)
Residence A District (R-A)
Residence B District (R-B)
Residence C District (R-C)
Residence D District (R-D)
Residence District, Multiple (RM)
Residence District, Public Housing (RPH)
Golden Age Residence District (GAR)
Senior Residence District (R-S)
Hospital District
Open Space Recreation District (OSR)
Planned Unit Development District (PUD)
Parking District (P)
Community Facility (CFD)
Transportation District (T)
Business AA District (B-AA)
Business A District (B-A)
Business B District (B-B)
Planned Industrial Park District (PIP)
Industrial A District (I-A)
Modified Planned Industrial Park District (MPIP)
Service Commercial District (SC)
Industrial B District (I-B)
Aquifer Protection Overlay District
New Cassel Urban Renewal Overlay District
The boundaries of said districts shall be shown upon the Official Map made a part of this ordinance, which map is hereby designated as the "Building Zone Map of the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County, New York." The said map and all notations, references and other things shown thereon shall be as much a part of this ordinance as if the matters and things shown by said map were all fully described therein.[1]

In any particular instance where there is doubt as to the exact location of a district boundary line, the Board of Zoning and Appeals, in conformity with Article XXIV, § 70-225D, of this ordinance, shall have the power to determine such location so that the intent of this ordinance and of said map shall be observed and the neighborhoods affected thereby shall be safeguarded.
