[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Commissioners (now Township Council) of the Township of Bristol 7-18-1973 by Ord. No. 823. Amendments noted where applicable.]
A commission is hereby established to be known as the "Shade Tree Commission of Bristol Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania." Said Commission shall be constituted as provided by law and shall perform all the duties and may exercise all the powers conferred by law upon township shade tree commissions, provided that the Shade Tree Commission now in office, as established by Ordinance No. 209, shall comprise the Shade Tree Commission hereby created, but every vacancy in the said Commission shall be filled as provided by applicable law in effect at the time of the happening of such vacancy.

The Shade Tree Commission may make recommendation to the Managing Director of the assessment of penalties of not more than $600 for each and every violation of any regulation of such Commission or of any of the provisions of Article XXX of the First Class Township Code[1] so far as it relates to shade trees, as amended.
