As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BUSINESS
The purchase or sale of goods in an attempt to make a profit.
GREEN BELTS
An area of woods, parks or open land that Bristol Township owns or leases.
MACHINERY
An apparatus consisting of interrelated parts with separate functions, used in the performance of some kind of work.
MOTOR VEHICLE
An automobile, motorcycle, truck, bus or similar motor-driven conveyance.
RECREATIONAL VEHICLE
A van, utility trailer, boat or trailer used for recreational purposes.
It shall be unlawful to sell or store any motor and/or recreation vehicles on Bristol Township green belts. Said vehicle shall be an unauthorized vehicle and tagged as such. If the vehicle is not removed within 24 hours of being tagged, the vehicle will be towed off the green belt by Bristol Township's salvage hauler at the owner's expense. The owner's expense will consist of towing and storage fees set by the salvage hauler.
It shall be unlawful to sell or store any type of machinery on Bristol Township green belts. A written notice of violation will be issued to any person or business owning or selling machinery, and said machinery shall be removed from the green belt within 24 hours or a citation will be issued in local District Court.
It shall be unlawful to run a business on any green belt within Bristol Township. A written notice of violation will be issued to cease business within 24 hours; if said business continues, a citation will be issued in local District Court.
A citation will be issued into the local District Court requesting the maximum fine for any person(s) or business violating this chapter two or more times.
A special one-day use of Bristol Township green belts may be approved by the Bristol Township Managing Director. This request must be in writing and approved before the use of the green belt.
Any authorized Bristol Township employee shall have the power to enforce this chapter.
Any person(s) or business violating any section of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine not to exceed $1,000, plus costs of prosecution, and, in default thereof, be imprisoned for a term not to exceed 30 days. Each day a violation continues shall constitute a separate violation of this chapter.
