The National Fire Protection Association Standard 291, Fire Flow Testing and Marking of Hydrants, and the National Fire Protection Handbook's most current edition, shall be used as guidelines in conjunction with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission's Regulations for the Maintenance and Identification of Fire Hydrants in the Township of Bristol.
When any provision of these standards are found to be in conflict with each other, the most restrictive, or those imposing the higher standards with respect to the promotion and protection of the safety and welfare of the public, shall govern.
The Township of Bristol, any utility company or municipal authority providing water service within Bristol Township shall not be held liable or responsible for any loss or damage resulting from fire or water which may occur because of events beyond their control.
