The owners or persons occupying ground upon which there is operated a commercial or manufacturing use and which abuts residential properties upon which there is erected a residence shall be required to erect and maintain, on all abutting property lines, a fence eight feet in height to serve as a barrier to visibility, airborne particles, trash and nuisance.
The fence required by this chapter shall be of a stockade type or equivalent.
The fence required by this chapter shall be erected within 60 days from the effective date of this chapter.

For any and every violation of the provisions of this chapter, the owner or operator of the premises upon which the fence is to be erected shall be liable, on conviction thereof, to a fine or penalty not exceeding $600 for each and every offense, which shall inure to the benefit and use of the Township with the costs of suit, and in default of payment thereof, the violator shall be committed to the county prison for a period not exceeding 30 days for each and every offense. Each day's continuance of such violation after notification shall constitute a separate offense, punishable by a like fine or penalty. Such fines shall be collected as like fines are now collected by law.
