Council hereby authorizes and empowers certain full-time employees of the Township's Office of Licenses, Zoning and Inspections, as listed in Exhibit A hereof[1] and as may be added in the future by resolution of the Council, to enforce the provisions of Bristol Township Ordinance No. 8-86[2] and any future amendments to that ordinance, during times of measurable snowfall which lies upon the roads, streets and highways of the Township, under and subject to the control of the Chief of Police or his designee.

Such individuals shall be authorized and empowered, within the terms of Ordinance No. 8-86, to issue warnings, noncriminal citations for violations and to cause the towing and removal of offending vehicles, under the superintendence and control of the Chief of Police or his designee.
This chapter shall constitute prima facie evidence of the authority of the individuals named in Exhibit A[1] to issue citations and cause the towing and removal of vehicles in any court proceedings arising from such actions.

The individuals named shall not be required to wear a particular uniform or to display a badge, but shall be required to carry and display, upon request, identification which clearly indicates the name and that the individual is an employee of Bristol Township.
The Council specifically prohibits the named individuals from performing, or representing themselves as authorized to perform, any police functions or powers other than as are set forth in this chapter and Ordinance No. 8-86,[1] or to act at any time other than during periods of snowfall.

Employees acting pursuant to the terms of this chapter shall receive no additional compensation or remuneration for work performed during normal working hours. Otherwise, compensation shall be in accordance with the employment contract then in effect.
The Chief of Police and Code Enforcement Officer are hereby authorized and directed to take such actions as may be necessary to carry out the intent of this chapter.
