A Municipal Court for the Borough is established as of November 22, 1948, pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq., as amended and supplemented.
The name of the Court shall be the Municipal Court of the Borough of Haddonfield pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-2, as amended and supplemented.
The Municipal Court shall have a Seal which shall bear the impress of the name of the Court.
The Municipal Court and Judge thereof shall have, possess and exercise all functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction conferred by the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12 et seq., as amended and supplemented or by any other applicable law.
There shall be a Judge of the Court who shall be appointed by the Commissioners, who shall serve for a term of three years from the date of his or her appointment and until his or her successor is appointed and qualified. Unexpired terms will be filled per N.J.S.A. 2B:12-4, as amended and supplemented.
A. 
There shall be a Municipal Court Administrator who shall serve for a term of three years from the date of appointment and until the successor is appointed and qualified, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2B:12-10, as amended and supplemented. The Municipal Court Administrator shall perform such functions and duties as are prescribed by law, the rules of the courts and the Judge.

The Judge of a Municipal Court may designate, in writing, an Acting Administrator or Deputy Administrator to serve temporarily for an absent Administrator or Deputy Administrator as provided by state statute.
A. 
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2B:25-1 et seq., as amended and supplemented, there shall be a Municipal Prosecutor for the Municipal Court of the Borough of Haddonfield who shall be appointed by the Commissioners for a term of one year commencing January 1. The Municipal Prosecutor shall be an attorney at law in good standing in the State of New Jersey.

The Municipal Prosecutor shall be responsible for the prosecution of crimes and offenses cognizable in the Municipal Court of the Borough of Haddonfield, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 25-5, as amended and supplemented.
A. 
There shall be a Municipal Public Defender for the Municipal Court of the Borough of Haddonfield who shall be appointed by the Commission for a term of one year commencing January 1, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2B:24-1 et seq., as amended and supplemented.
B. 
The duties of the Municipal Public Defender are detailed in N.J.S.A. 2B:24-6, as amended and supplemented, which include that it shall be the duty of the Municipal Public Defender to represent any defendant charged with an offense of magnitude in the Municipal Court who is an indigent. All necessary services and facilities of representation, including both expert and lay investigation and testimony, as well as other preparations, shall be provided in every case. The Municipal Public Defender shall be responsible for handing all phases of the defense in the Municipal Court.
C. 
An individual who applies for representation by the Haddonfield Municipal Public Defender shall pay an application fee of $200, for applying for such representation, as permitted under N.J.S.A. 2B:24-17.
D. 
The Municipal Court Judge sitting in Haddonfield may, at his or her discretion, waive the entire application fee of $200 or any portion thereof, provided that the Municipal Court Judge determines, at his discretion, that the application fee in whole or part represents an unreasonable burden on the individual seeking representation.
