A. 
Any person having possession, custody, control, and/or ownership of any dog shall not permit such dog to run at large upon the public streets and/or public property of the Borough of Haddonfield and/or the public property of the Haddonfield Board of Education.
B. 
A dog shall be led by chain, cord, or leash in the hands of a person capable of controlling such dog when such dog is walking upon the public streets and/or public property of the Borough of Haddonfield, and/or the public property of the Haddonfield Board of Education.
C. 
Dogs may be permitted to be confined in an automobile which is upon a public street or public property of the Borough of Haddonfield and/or the public property of the Haddonfield Board of Education.

It shall be unlawful for any person or corporation, owning, keeping, harboring or having the custody or possession of any dog, to permit such dog, whether on a leash or not, to go or to enter upon lands and premises in said Borough (other than a public street, avenue, road or highway or other public place) which are in the possession of another person or corporation without the permission or consent of such other person or corporation.

A. 
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.16, the Animal Control Officer of the Borough or Chief of Police or his designee shall take into custody and impound any of the following:
(1) 
Any dog or other domestic animal off the premises of the owner which the Animal Control Officer or Chief of Police or his designee has reason to believe is a stray.
(2) 
Any dog or other domestic animal off the premises of the owner without a current registration tag or other means of identification.
(3) 
Any female dog in season off the premises of the owner.
(4) 
Any dog or other animal which is suspected of being rabid.
(5) 
Any dog or other domestic animal off the premises of the owner observed by the Animal Control Officer or Chief of Police or his designee to be ill, injured or creating a threat to public health, safety or welfare, or otherwise interfering with the employment of property.
B. 
The Animal Control Officer or Chief of Police or designee shall follow the guidelines established in N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.16 regarding noticing, adoption and destruction of animals.
C. 
The owner of the animal shall be responsible for all expenses incurred by the Borough in connection with seizure and impounding of the animal, including maintenance costs of $4 per day.
No person shall molest, obstruct or interfere with the Chief of Police or any other member of the Police Department or other authorized person while engaged in the enforcement of this article or any of the revisions thereof.
Violations of this article shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, § 1-14
