It shall be unlawful for any person or persons within the bounds of said Borough voluntarily and maliciously to break or take off door knockers or door bells, or to take down, destroy or deface any sign put up by any inhabitant of this Borough denoting his name, occupation or place of residence; or to cut, break or otherwise destroy any part of any dwelling house, store, shop, fence, or other building or enclosure, be the same public or private property; or to draw upon the walls of buildings, fences, etc., any obscene picture or delineation, or to write thereon any indecent or immodest words; or in any way to mutilate or destroy any fruit, shade or ornamental tree or shrub, which may be planted on any private ground, or on any of the streets, or rights-of-way of the Borough where the same is, are, or may hereafter be by law allowed to be planted.
The loan, gift, sale or offering for sale, exhibition, distribution, circulation, advertisement or publication of indecent, obscene, lewd, lascivious or other immoral writings, printings, pictures, photographs or representations of all matters of an indecent, obscene, lewd, lascivious or other immoral character, by any person, shall be and the same is hereby prohibited.
Any person offending against this article shall, upon conviction thereof before any District Justice in the Borough, pay to the person or persons injured the full value of the property destroyed and in addition shall be subject to pay a fine not to exceed the sum of $100 and costs of prosecution, and in default thereof, be committed to the Borough lockup for a period not exceeding five days, or the county jail for a period not exceeding 30 days.
