A certain document, three copies of which are
on file at the Limerick Township Municipal Building located at 646
West Ridge Pike, Limerick, Pennsylvania, being marked and designated
as the International Property Maintenance Code, 2009 edition, as published
by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the
Property Maintenance Code of Limerick Township, Montgomery County,
Pennsylvania, for regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance
of all property, buildings and structures; by providing the standards
for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and
conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary
and fit for occupation and use; and the condemnation of buildings
and structures unfit for human occupancy and use, and the demolition
of such existing structures as herein provided; providing for the
issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and
all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms
of said Property Maintenance Code on file at the Limerick Township
Municipal Building are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part
hereof, as if fully set out in this chapter.
A.
The Property
Maintenance Code § 101.1 is supplemented to read: "the Township
of Limerick."
B.
The penalties and fines, as referenced in the Property Maintenance Code § 103.5, shall be in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Second Class Township Code and the Limerick Township Code, Chapter 70, § 15, entitled Violations and penalties, that are in effect at the time of the violation.
C.
The Property Maintenance Code § 112.4 is supplemented to read: "Failure to comply. Any person who shall continue any work after having been served with a stop-work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall be subject to the penalties and fines set forth in the Limerick Township Code, Chapter 70, § 15 entitled Violations and penalties."

The Property
Maintenance Code § 302.4 is supplemented to read: "All premises
and exterior property shall be maintained free from weeds or plant
growth in excess of six inches."

Maintenance Code § 304.14: the dates inserted should read
June 1 to November 1.

November 1 to May 1.

Nothing in this chapter or in the Property Maintenance
Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding
impending in any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred,
or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing under any act
or ordinance repealed hereby. No right or remedy of any character
shall be lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.
This chapter, together with the 2009 Edition
of the International Property Maintenance Code, adopted herein, shall
be known and may be cited as the "Property Maintenance Code of the
Township of Limerick."
