This article shall be known as the Limerick Township "Emergency
Service Cost Reimbursement Ordinance."
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meaning indicated unless a different meaning clearly appears from
the context:
EMERGENCY SERVICES
All services rendered by the Limerick Fire Department (hereinafter
"Fire Department") to include, but not be limited to, motor vehicle
accidents, hazardous material spills, or any other act or omission
by a party or parties that necessitates the services of the aforementioned
department.

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
Any substance or materials in a quantity or form which poses
an unreasonable and eminent risk to the life, health or safety of
persons or property or to the ecological balance of the environment,
including, but not limited to, explosives, radioactive materials,
petroleum products or gases, poisons, flammables, corrosives or materials
listed in the hazardous substances list of the Pennsylvania Department
of Labor and Industry.
TOWNSHIP
Limerick Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
Reimbursement for costs: Subject to the exceptions provided
herein, any person who intentionally, negligently, accidentally, or
otherwise causes a motor vehicle accident, hazardous material spill,
or any other act or omission necessitating the emergency services
of the Fire Department within the established service area of the
Fire Department shall be liable for all costs incurred by the Fire
Department as a result of providing said emergency services.
For purposes of this article, the costs for use of the Fire
Department emergency service equipment, materials, and personnel shall
be established by resolution of the Limerick Township.
