The accounts of the Borough of Steelton shall hereafter be audited by
an independent auditor to be appointed annually by the Borough Council before
the close of the fiscal year, such auditor to have the qualifications required
by law.
The office of elected Borough Auditor is hereby abolished, provided
that the elected auditors now in office may continue to hold their offices
during the terms for which they were elected: but they shall not audit, settle
or adjust the accounts audited by the independent auditor.
