It is hereby declared to be a nuisance to build fires or burn wastepaper, pasteboard boxes and other waste material upon the streets, alleys, highways, vacant lands or other public places as well as on private property, except for outdoor cooking, within the Borough of Steelton.

Any person who shall violate any provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be liable for a fine of not more than $300 or to imprisonment in the county jail for a term of not more than 30 days, or both. The continuation of such violation for each successive day shall constitute a separate offense, and the person or persons allowing or permitting the continuation of the violation may be punished as provided above for each separate offense.
