No person shall cast or throw, or cause to be cast or thrown, into any drain, sewer or gutter within the Village of Boonville any straw, shavings, ashes, wood, stones, shells, rubbish or any filthy or other substance which may cause any nuisance or obstruction or injury thereto.
No person shall stop the course of any drain or sewer within the limits of said Village, nor cast any of the articles and substances named in this chapter into any public street or lane or ground of said Village, nor dig any hole or trench in the same. In addition to the penalty hereinbelow provided for a violation of this chapter, the Public Works Superintendent shall have the power and it shall be his duty to remove all such articles and substances from such places, respectively, and put such drains and sewers in their usual course, and order and to fill up all such holes and trenches at the expense of the person or persons offending against the provisions of this chapter, to be recovered at the same time and in the same manner as provided for the recovery of such penalty.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be punished, upon conviction, by a fine not exceeding $250 for each violation. In addition, each violation of this chapter shall constitute disorderly conduct, and each person violating the same shall be a disorderly person. Each day that a violation or failure to comply with any provision of this chapter or any regulation promulgated hereunder by the Board of Trustees occurs shall constitute a separate and distinct violation.
