No person shall fire or discharge any air gun, gun, pistol, rifle, revolver, cannon or firearm of any kind within the Village of Boonville, except that the Village Board, by resolution, may designate certain areas in which certain designated weapons may be used under such conditions as may be provided.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be punished, upon conviction, by a fine not exceeding $250 or imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both, for each violation. In addition, each violation of this chapter shall constitute disorderly conduct, and each person violating the same shall be a disorderly person. Each day that a violation or failure to comply with any provision of this chapter or any regulation promulgated hereunder by the Board of Trustees occurs shall constitute a separate and distinct violation.
Nothing in this chapter shall be deemed or construed to interfere with members of any state or national military organization or any police or peace officer in the discharge of their duty.
