The survey, plan and system for naming of streets and numbering
of houses and buildings, prepared by the Borough Engineer, titled
"Comprehensive Plan for the Naming of Streets and Numbering of Houses
in Souderton Borough," dated January 1935, a copy of which is hereto
attached and made part hereof, is hereby approved and adopted.
On and after the passage and approval of this chapter, it shall
be the duty of each and every owner, trustee, lessee, agent and occupant
of each and every house, building or other structure in the Borough
of Souderton to cause the same to be numbered in accordance with this
chapter and the system and plan hereby adopted and approved.
The Secretary of Borough Council shall notify all property owners
of new house or building numbers. The new numbers shall be placed
upon the front of the residences for which they are intended within
a period of 30 days from date of notice of assignment of new numbers.

The numbers for new residences within the Borough limits shall
be determined and assigned by the Borough Engineer and shall be furnished
with the building permit at no additional cost.

Any person or persons, firm or corporation who shall number
or attempt to number any house or building contrary to this chapter
and the plan hereby approved and adopted, or who shall fail or neglect
to number their house or building in accordance with this chapter,
or shall fail to change the number thereof on notification of the
Secretary of Council, and any person or persons who shall alter, deface,
remove or destroy any number required to be displayed by this chapter,
shall, upon conviction, pay a fine of not less than $5 and not more
than $10.
