Under the provisions of MGL c. 111, § 31, the Littleton Board of Health enacts the following regulations.
Effective with the publication of this notice, all applications for permits for wastewater treatment plants must meet the following requirements:
A. 
None other than subsurface discharges will be permitted.
B. 
All loading rates for wastewater application will comply with those defined in Section 15.03 under Leaching Area Requirements in Title V, the State Environmental Code, Minimum Requirements for the Subsurface Disposal of Sanitary Sewage.
C. 
No bypasses of treated or untreated effluent will be accepted as part of treatment plant design.
D. 
All applications will demonstrate that the effluent plume will meet Environmental Protection Agency Interim Drinking Water Standards at the property line.
E. 
Applications referred to in Subsection D will be supported by groundwater analysis supplied by a sanitary engineer registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
