Any person who intrudes or trespasses upon any lot, piece of land or body of water without authority from the owner thereof, or who erects or occupies thereon any building or structure whatever without such authority; and any person who builds, erects or occupies within the bounds of any street or avenue or public property any structure or building without lawful authority, is guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not exceeding $25, or imprisonment not exceeding 25 days, or by both such fine and such imprisonment.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PERSON
Includes an individual, society, club, firm, partnership, corporation or association of persons and the singular number shall include the plural number.
This chapter shall take effect immediately upon its adoption, publication and posting, as provided by law.
