As used in this ordinance, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
False alarms (as defined below) in excess of three in any
one calendar month, or 12 in any one calendar year, regardless of
the number in any one calendar month.
Receipt of an alarm at the Wildwood Crest Police Headquarters
through an alarm system that proves to be false or baseless.
Notice of every false alarm will be sent to each subscriber
at the last address supplied by said subscriber to the Wildwood Crest
Police Department. Each subscriber who is connected to the alarm system
at the Wildwood Crest Police Station shall be assessed a penalty of
$10 for each excessive false alarm as herein defined. Failure to pay
any bill for excessive false alarms within 15 days of the billing
date of same shall result in a disconnection of the subscriber's
alarm service until such time as all charges for excessive false alarms
have been paid in full. All bills and disconnection notices will be
sent by regular mail to the last address supplied by the subscriber
to the Wildwood Crest Police Department.
If any provision of this ordinance is declared invalid by any
court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of this
ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
This ordinance shall become effective 10 days after its final
passage. Publication shall be made as provided by law.
