Notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of any general, special or
local law, all members of the Incorporated Village of Floral Park, New York
Police Department who are assigned to traffic or other duty at or in the vicinity
of Belmont Park Race Track at a time when racing is being conducted at said
track or the traffic is flowing to or from said track on a day when racing
is held, shall be entitled to receive and shall be paid for such additional
work for the hours they so work over and above their regular tour of duty
at the same hourly rate they receive for working during their regular tour
of duty.
The additional compensation above provided for shall be payable out
of moneys appropriated to the Police Department for extra traffic duty during
the racing season in the annual budget or out of moneys otherwise made available
for such purpose.
This amendment to local law shall take effect immediately.
