Editor's Note: Section 3 of this local law provided as follows:
"Section 3. The terms of office of the Village Clerk and of the Village
Treasurer that commenced on April 1, 1991, are hereby extended to April 5,
1993. To the extent that § 3-312 of the Village Law or any provision
of the Public Officers Law provides otherwise, they are hereby amended and
superseded in their application to the Village of Floral Park to permit these
extensions."

The position of Village Administrator of the Village of Floral Park
is hereby established, and unless otherwise provided by resolution of the
Board of Trustees, the Village Clerk-Treasurer shall be the Village Administrator
and shall serve in such capacity at the pleasure of the Board of Trustees.[1] The Village Administrator may reside within the County of Nassau.

follows:
"Resolved, that the Village Administrator of the Village of Floral
Park shall also serve as the Treasurer of the Village of Floral Park; and
be it further
"Resolved, that the position of Village Clerk is hereby established
as an independent office, to be appointed by the Mayor subject to the approval
of the Board of Trustees, to have such powers and duties, not inconsistent
with law, as from time to time the Board of Trustees may by resolution determine."
Subject to the direction, control and approval of the Mayor and Board
of Trustees, the Village Administrator shall:
A.Â
See that all laws applicable to the village, its officers
and employees, and all ordinances, resolutions, rules and regulations of the
village are faithfully executed and enforced.
B.Â
Supervise and direct all functions and activities of
the village and of its officers and employees, except the Village Justice,
Village Attorney and Board of Appeals.
C.Â
Make reports to the Mayor and Board of Trustees on the
affairs of the village and recommend to them such measures as he may deem
necessary or appropriate for the purpose of obtaining greater efficiency and
economy in the government and operation of the village.
D.Â
Exercise general supervision over all expenditures of
the village in accordance with the budget and keep the Board of Trustees fully
advised of the financial condition of the village and its future financial
needs.
E.Â
Prepare annually a tentative budget for consideration
by the Board of Trustees and serve as Budget Officer when so designated by
the Mayor in accordance with § 5-500 of the Village Law.
F.Â
Have such other powers and duties, not inconsistent with
law, as from time to time the Board of Trustees may by resolution determine.
