TOURIST CAMP — Is defined to be any lot, parcel or piece
of ground on which are located or which is offered to the public for the location
of one or more camp cottages, cabins or tents used or arranged to be used
for the accommodation of transients by the day, week or month, or one or more
trailers or house cars used or equipped to be used for living, sleeping or
eating.
Is defined as any vehicle designed or equipped to be used, or used
for living, sleeping or eating and designed to move from place to place on
wheels and to be propelled by its own power or drawn or propelled by another
vehicle.
No person, firm or corporation shall establish, maintain or operate
or conduct within the Village of Floral Park, any tourist camp, whether charge
is or is not made for the use thereof, unless such person, firm or corporation
shall have first obtained a license so to do from the Board of Trustees of
the Village of Floral Park.
The Board of Trustees of the Village of Floral Park shall not issue
a license for any tourist camp unless a written permit for such camp has first
been issued by the County Health Commissioner of the County of Nassau in the
manner provided in Article V of Public Health Ordinance No. 1 as ordained
and established by the Board of Health of Nassau County.
No tourist camp may be established, maintained or operated in the Village
of Floral Park except in conformity with all the provisions, regulations and
requirements of the Public Health Law and the Sanitary Code of the State of
New York and of said Article V of Public Health Ordinance No. 1 of the County
of Nassau and any and all amendments thereof.
No tourist camp may be established, maintained or operated in the Village
of Floral Park unless the same shall be located in the heavy commercial zone
and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Floral Park shall not issue a
license for any tourist camp unless the application for a license for such
tourist camp shall specify that the said camp is to be located in the heavy
commercial zone of the Village of Floral Park.
The annual license fee for such tourist camp shall be $100. If any tourist
camp shall exceed 4,000 square feet in area, then there shall be an additional
annual license fee of $100 for each additional 4,000 square feet or fraction
thereof.
No person shall use or park any trailer or house car for living, sleeping
or eating quarters within the Village of Floral Park except when parked in
a duly licensed tourist camp. Nor shall any person, for any purpose whatsoever,
park or leave upon the streets of the Village of Floral Park any trailer or
house car for a longer period than two hours.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be liable for and forfeit and pay a penalty as provided in § 32-13 of Chapter 32 hereof. Said violation shall constitute and is hereby declared to be disorderly conduct, and any person violating this chapter or any provision thereof shall be and hereby is declared a disorderly person as provided in § 32-1 of Chapter 32 hereof.
