Section 178, Subdivision 2 of the Village Law as amended by the Laws of 1952, Chapter 623, Section 2, effective April 9, 1952, as it applies to the Incorporated Village of Floral Park, New York is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 178. Method of procedure.
     2. Every zoning ordinance and every amendment to a zoning ordinance (including any map incorporated therein) hereafter adopted pursuant to the provisions of this local law shall be entered in the minutes of the Village Board and a copy thereof (including any map incorporated therein) shall be filed in the office of the Village Clerk and the title, if any, and a brief description of such zoning ordinance or amendment to a zoning ordinance shall be published in the official paper of the village once and a copy of such zoning ordinance or amendment to a zoning ordinance, together with a copy of any map incorporated therein shall be posted conspicuously at or near the main entrance to the office of the Village Clerk and affidavits of the filing, publication and posting thereof, as herein provided, shall be filed with the Village Clerk. Such zoning ordinance or amendment to a zoning ordinance shall take effect immediately upon the completion of such publication and posting. Any such zoning ordinance or amendment to a zoning ordinance shall take effect from the date of its service as against a person served personally with a copy thereof certified by the Village Clerk under the corporate seal of the village and showing the date of its passage and entry in the minutes.
This local law shall take effect immediately.
