Bristol Township hereby declares its intent
to require any owner, occupant or tenant of any real estate which
abuts or fronts upon, alongside or adjacent to any of the streets
of the Township to clean and remove or cause to be cleaned and removed
from any sidewalks, walkways or pedestrian rights-of-way abutting,
fronting, alongside or adjacent to said real estate, all snow, ice
or sleet which has fallen or formed upon the ground area within 12
hours after the same shall have ceased to fall or to form.
The owner of such real estate shall be responsible
for conforming to the requirements of this article where such real
estate is occupied by such owner or is unoccupied; the tenant or occupier
thereof where such real estate is occupied by such tenant or occupier
only; and the owner thereof where the real estate is a multiple-business
or multiple-dwelling property occupied by more than one tenant or
occupier.
In any case where the owner, occupant or tenant, as aforesaid, shall fail, neglect or refuse to comply with any of the provisions of this article within the time limit prescribed in §
175-33, the Township may proceed immediately to clear all snow and/or ice from the sidewalk of such delinquent and to collect the expenses of such removal, with an additional amount of 10% from such owner, occupant or tenant, as the case may be, which may be in addition to any fine or penalty imposed under §
175-36 of this article.

Any person who shall violate any provision of
this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine
not to exceed $1,000, plus costs of prosecution, and, in default thereof,
shall be imprisoned for a term not to exceed 30 days.
