The foregoing rules and regulations, which are in accordance with the powers granted by the civil service sections of the First Class Township Code, enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in accordance with the authority granted by the municipal governing body of the Township of Bristol, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, pursuant to the Home Rule Option Charter, were adopted by the Civil Service Commission of the Township of Bristol, Pennsylvania, recommended to the Council of the Township of Bristol the 24th day of March 2004.[1]

Editor’s Note: Section 2 of Ord. No. 2004-06 which comprises this chapter provided as follows: “Whenever the requirements of this ordinance are in conflict with other requirements of the ordinances of the Township of Bristol, the most restrictive, or those imposing the higher standards, shall govern.”
