All owners, lessees, operators, managers, person, persons or corporations having control of any sandbank, pit or quarry within the said Town be and they hereby are ordered, directed and required to erect and maintain suitable safeguard around such excavated areas being used as a sandbank, pit or quarry, for the purpose of preventing ingress to said sandbank, pit or quarry except through gates therein, said safeguard to be in the form of a fence at least six feet in height of steel wire mesh or other construction approved by the Town Board adequate for the purposes above named, and they are further ordered, directed and required to keep the gates in said fence locked at all times except during business hours, and they are further ordered, directed and required to keep said premises posted against trespassers, said signs to contain adequate notice that trespassers will be dealt with according to law.
A. 
Any person or persons, associsation or corporation committing an offense against this chapter, or any section or provision thereof, is guilty of a violation punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 15 days for each such offense, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
B. 
When an offense against this chapter is continuous, each 24 hours thereof shall constitute a separate and distinct violation.
